Highstreet Heaven made its triumphant return to Belfast Fashionweek on Friday night delivering top trends with each highstreet store taking on a particular theme and style throughout. Presenting all in attendance with a diverse variety of modern catwalk influenced style offering accessible on-trend looks to the modern woman with seven major must-have Autumn/Winter items running throughout. THE PENCIL SKIRT: First up, The Outlet in Banbridge kicking things off with an Oxford/Country chic feel playing with heritage tones. Which is code for hounds tooth pencil skirts, woollen pencil skirts and more pencil skirts all topped off with cropped woollen blend blazers. An element of masculinity ran in this sensational opening section even throwing in a tuxedo inspired look. Whilst a heavy focus on tan accessories in the form of canes, umbrellas, checked ties, granda caps, leather driving gloves and oversized bow tie leather belts focused on the layering of Autumn/Winter add-ons. Key pieces came from infamous brands L.K Bennet and Armani.THE OVERCOAT: Next to strut their stuff was Jigsaw who presented an assortment of impressive Autumnal shades with navy, mustard and powder pink mixed in with a touch of jacquard print for good measure. The emphasis here being placed firmly on Jigsaw's diverse range of outerwear in the form of a modern woollen military coat, a woollen pea coat, a luxury twisted tweed coat and a fur wrap coat before throwing in a little Hollywood Glam in the form of a Jacquard Panel Dress and a Sequin Flapper dress.
THE CROPPED JACKET: Everyone loves a bit of metal in their life and M&S sent look after look of the metallic variety down the runway to brighten up the upcoming party season. A limited collection bronze top, metallic mini skirt, a pewter satin dress, a black chain detail blazer and metallic pumps were noteworthy highlights. A main focus however came from a Utilitarian style which kept the metallics in check with short, cropped militant jackets with black and camel militia inspired pieces and a stunning paisley print jacket being major standouts.
THE COLOURED DRESS: Then came United Colours of Benetton which more than lived up to its name as all the colours of the rainbow were displayed through a mixture of mustard, lime green, red, orange, ivory, chocolate brown, and tangerine shades. All showcased through stylish dresses with an emphasis on cute feminine hats and knitted accessories with scarves and gloves prominent alongside poncho and polo neck detailing.

THE ON-TREND PRINT: George at Asda was perhaps my favourite and dare I say somewhat of a Cinderella story, rich in luxurious and artistic on-trend prints. From a gold padded jacket, a chiffon snake print dress, to an Oriental jacket and pattern and lace printed jeans, George showed it has exactly what it takes to stand tall against some of the bigger fast fashion retailers out there taking on exciting and vibrant trends at a fraction of the price. THE PUNK LOOK: The penultimate section came from Exhibit offering a rock chick vibe with a tartan cropped blazer, a studded biker jacket and faux leather/wet-look leggings paired with oversized skull-detailed sweaters. All presenting a youthful feel and tone through a variety of fresh and energetic styling through chiffon and jewel cross collars, sequin contrasting shift dresses and aztec skirts with studded accessories creating a feisty Rihanna meets Rita Ora influence.THE LACE PANELLED DRESS: Leaving French Connection to close the show with a strong emphasis on on lace panelled shoulders. Featuring form fitting eloquence with a sophisticated feminine twist. Complimented by a variety of metallics with silver sequin dresses, skirts, blue and Egyptian gold lurex stripe vests and sequin dresses creating a versatile yet solid glam-packed catwalk finale.
