It's been four long Girls Aloud absent years and although the void has been eased ever so slightly by Cheryl Cole with her one amazing album and two mediocre solo projects and of course a brilliant release from Nicola Roberts, the world just hasn't felt the same since 2008. Fear not, the moment girls, guys, gays, mums, dads, grans, grandads, cats and dogs have all been waiting for has finally arrived. Girls Aloud have returned and they've brought with them an experimental brand spanking new track entitled 'Something New'. And it leaked online last night!
I clocked the new track around 1am and I immediately fell in love with its infectious chorus, funky pop infused feel and the overall up-beat gem that is the Girls Aloud creative machine.Teaming up once again with Fascination and hitmakers Xenomania to reunite with a bang.
'Something New' however doesn't necessarily showcase their vocal ability and at times I'm unsure if Kimberly and Sarah are even there but Nadine makes her presence known every now and then. The focus is clearly on Nicola and Cheryl but one thing is more than clear...Girls Aloud are back and they are already smashing it out of the park on this one. 'Something New' has a Sexy No No No vibe and it is awesome.
Although it is unknown as to whether 'Something New' is simply a demo or an exciting promotional move as Nadine, Cheryl, Nicola, Sarah and Kimberly are not officially debuting their new material for another two days. Or at least the countdown on their official website would lead us to this suggestion.
