Just when I thought my Sunday hangover could not be cured in the slightest. Feisty pop trio Stooshe go and deliver their follow-up single to their sensational debut hit 'Love Me'. The Dream Girls inspired retro ballad 'Black Heart', premiering a stunning visual to accompany it.
The lovely ladies of Stooshe i.e Alex, Courtney and Karis, display their phenomenal vocals on a Cadillac Records reminiscent television set. Shoulder padded gowns. Pearl necklaces. More hairspray than that film Hairspray. The girls give it their all as they take out the trash...a cheating scumbag who has as the girls belt out 'a black heart'. U GOT A BLACK HEART. Preach.
The harmonies, the melodies, the overall sheer grandeur exhibited from the video, all lend to leave me grinning from ear to ear. Much like their first offering, the Travie McCoy assisted chart topper 'Love Me', had me excitingly somersaulting around my room from the word go.
The reason being Stooshe have something major to offer in the girl-band market. They are refreshing. Talented. Full of flavour, flamboyance and fire. Proof you don't have to tackle a multi-million backed television show to make it on the odd occasion. Basically they are brilliant.
The Future Cut produced 'Black Heart' drops June 11. Their debut album 'Swings and Roundabouts' is set to follow swiftly after.
Check out Stooshe slaying it majorly in their new video for new single 'Black Heart' via the clip below.
