Labrinth 'Electronic Earth' Review

Its been almost two years since Timothy McKenzie notoriously known by his stage name Labrinth, delivered his number one UK chart debut with the soulful electronic pop number 'Let The Sun Shine'. Its been four weeks since the release of his first solo album entitled 'Electronic Earth' and its safe to say the wait was more than worth it.
Featuring other top three hits 'Earthquake' featuring Tinie Tempah and 'Last Time', Lab also collaborates with Brit Critic's Choice winner Emeli Sande who lends her stunning vocals to 'Beneath Your Beautiful'. A haunting, spine chilling power ballad in which Lab and Emeli blend perfectly through every line, lick, chorus and run.
Tinchy Stryder also makes an appearance on the Devlin assisted cut 'Up In Flames'. Showcasing a harder, edgier East London offering. Backed up by futuristic drum and bass influenced 'T.O.P' with a hint of dubstep thrown in for good measure. More light-hearted offerings are found in the funky 'Sweet Riot' and my all-time fav. The reggae infused sure to be Summer smash-hit 'Sundown'.
Other noteworthy cuts come in the Motown, soul-jazz track 'Express Yourself', melodic gem 'Treatment' and feel-good funktastic number 'Climb on Board'. So basically the whole album is good to go from start to finish folks.
Favourite tracks: Let The Sun Shine, Earthquake, Beneath Your Beautiful and Sundown.

You Will Like This If You Like: Jason Derulo, Usher, Tinie Tempah, B.O.B

Overall Verdict: Electronic Earth truly is an electronic offering worthy of a planet all on its own.
