Alexandra Burke Performs Album Set

To contact us Click HERE

Yes I'm a hypocritical B-word. One minute I'm posting an honest review on her new sophomore album, the disastrous 'Heartbreak On Hold', and the next I'm salivating at the mouth as a result of Alexandra Burke's phenomenal live acoustic album set premiering hours ago over on the Splash at That Grape Juice.
Her new LP is still absolute balls, but Alex proved once again she's got the goods to deliver. Pity you didn't do that with your studio version. Electronically she just bores. Acoustically this girl soars.

I was nearly in tears at 'Let It Go'. A song I class as one of my current Summer Jams, but stripped down back to basics the lyrics take a completely different turn and as a result the track becomes a soulful ballad of stunning proportions.
Belting out note after note in an effortless wave of power, control and pure vocal talent Alexandra Burke has the voice ten times over. Reminding me of all the many reasons I fell in love with Alexandra form the word go. My request is that you put some of this power, control and pure vocal talent into your projects or at least make me an entire album of your acoustic material! Phenomenal.
Check out Alexandra Burke going strong and slaying it majorly on That Grape Juice's Splash performing her new single 'Let It Go'. ACOUSTICALLY! The full set can be viewed over on thatgrapejuice.net/alexandraburke. Alexandra Burke's new album 'Heartbreak on Hold' is out now.

Topman Rules Britannia

Topman's NewGen designers Jamie Long, Katie Eary, Lou Dalton, Sibling and Christopher Shannon were all asked to create a one-off t-shirt using only the words 'Menswear Rules Britannia' as their inspiration.
Five t-shirts.  Five unique limited edition must haves. My personal favourite being the phenomenal Sibling's GB Flag knitted Tee. Priced just £24 featuring a chain like detailing throughout the Union Jack flag design. Usually I detest anything Union Jack related mostly because of the area I live in and the political/religious connotations that unfortunately come with.
I'm a stars and stripes guy through and through. Americana all the way. However on this occasion I'd rock it. Tribly on. Gold jewelery at the ready. Denim skinny fit jeans and a pair of military boots. Job Done.
My second favourite being the white Chris Shannon Man Up Tee. Priced just £20 featuring the words Man Up covering every single corner. Gives me a Boy London feel my American Flag beanie hat would kill to be a part of.

The other three T-shirts comprising of Katie Eary's mirrored Tiger Tee, Lou Dalton's Sketch Tee and James Long's Print Tee are the slightly less appealing in my eyes. Priced at the slightly lower price of £18. Possibly for that reason.

£5 from the sale of each of the Menswear Rules Britannia range will go to the British Fashion Council Princess of Wales Charitable Trust in support of young and emerging designers. The range can be browsed and purchased in full online at topman.com. Take a look at Topman's Menswear Rules Britannia range in action via the clip below.

Cheryl Cole 'A Million Lights' Preview

Fresh from her amazing performance on Graham Norton last night (lip-synched of course) and her not so amazing live performance with Gary Barlow at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Cherly Cole is gearing up for the release of her hotly anticipated 3rd studio album 'A Million Lights'. To celebrate her cracking week, the former Girls Aloud star has previewed the full track snippets earlier today to entice and excite.
Any doubts the X-Factor axing left her broken and crippled have put to rest. Chezza's back bigger, feistier and sounding (albeit auto-tune enhanced) better than ever.
15 tracks and with top names like Lana Del Rey, Wretch 32, Will I Am, Alex Da Kid and Calvin Harris all on board the snippets have revealed nothing short of what appears to be harmonic gold.
1.Under the Sun.  2.Sure to be number 1 this week Call My Name. 3.Craziest Things feat Will I Am. 'That's Dope Folks'. 4. Girl In The Mirror, a reggae sunblushed jam. Title track 5. A Million Lights aka Rain On Me part 2 aka the epic ballad.
6. Screw You. 7. Love Killer. 8. Ghetto Baby. 9. Sexy Den Mutha and my personal favourite. Fun. Funky. Fresh. Fierce. Chezza back to her best.
10. Mechanics of the Heart- the other ballad. 11. All Is Fair. Catchy and haunting all at the same time. 12. Boys Lie (you are damn right there) another personal fav on the cards. 13. One Thousand, a drum-tastic fast tempo track complete with a sick chorus to boot.
Penultimate piano driven tearjerker 14. Telescope soothes before closing with up-tempo, feel-good club anthem 15. Last One Standing.
And she will be if this preview is anything to go by. Bring on the full hq versions! I am in awe. I feel like it's 2010. I'm listening to 3 Words for the first time. I'm feeling strangely impressed and equally enthused by my sudden love of Cheryl Cole. Glad to have that same sensation coursing through my blood once more.
Cheryl Cole's new single Call My Name drops June 10. The album 'A Million Lights' follows five days later on June 15.
Take a listen to the preview via the clip below.

Last week I had the opportunity to sit in on an exciting photo shoot at Down Royal racecourse courtesy of Our Events NI's Managing Director Kerrie Mann.

The subjects in question being Sarah. A model whose hay-fever kicked in the moment she stepped on the grass...that or she was allergic to our star. Bailey. The 5 year old chestnut brown stallion/steed. 16 and a half hands high. Majestic. Strong. Completely harmless.

The perfect edition to go along with a Grecian style ivory gown on loan from award winning boutique Perfect Day. Sarah, aka the Horse Whisperer, looked amazing posing with our Equestrian representative. The end result, sensational shots by Gavin Sloan Photography.
In between the rain, the getting lost, passing Bailey in his trailer, running late, people pretending to be Jockey's from strategically placed cardboard cut outs. A second shoot was also carried out. For the unique bridal jewellery currently making its mark on the bridal fashion scene. B'Jewelled Bridal.

Featuring the innovative B'Jewelled Feet. Even Flavia from Strictly Come Dancing has a pair. The reason being they are this Summer's must have accessory and are beautifully made with a variety of exciting colours and designs available.

Our Events NI's Our Perfect Wedding Show hits Down Royal racecourse Sunday August 26 from 1pm-5pm. Entry is free and the show will feature a stunning fashion forward catwalk with the latest in contemporary bridal fashion. For more information visit oureventsni.com.

Bobby Newberry 'Dirrty Up'

Fresh from the roaring epicness that was his music video debut alongside Melody Thornton on their stunning duet of La Roux's Bulletproof, singer, dancer and choreographer Bobby Newberry is going it alone. Debuting his saucy new video for equally saucy debut single 'Dirrty Up'. Two r's to emphasise the dirrrrtiness.
I'm calling Bobby the male Ke$ha. Sounding every bit like a male Ke$ha with a little bit of Justin Timberlake and the Scissor Sisters thrown in for good measure. Giving Bobby N one hell of a sound. Not to mention he's got the sick moves to back it up...most notable in the dub-step dance break.
The track itself features vocals from Jessie & The Toy Boys. Whilst Melody Thornton makes a cameo appearance looking phenomenal in a metallic fringe dress. Even Melody's fellow Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts is running about in a futuristic black bustier dancing her little sexy face off.
Overall verdict. Bobby Newberry debuts exactly how a house party should look and how a fun, energetic music video should rock.

Bobby co-wrote the song with Invaders and Jessie & The Toys Boys. Bobby also choreographed the entire video alongside Miguel Zarate.

Snow White & The Hunstman Film Review

To contact us Click HERE

Mirror mirror on the wall who is the fairest of them all? Why my dear Queen Raevena it is not you (Charlize Theron), it is but another. With skin as white as snow, it is but Snow White (Kristen Stewart). Never in my life did I think I would say these words.
Kristen Stewart is Snow White. Poor defenseless Snow White trapped in a tower by her wicked Stepmother who has taken the kingdom to the dogs with her evil reign. Snow White of course being the ultimate undoing to her wicked ways and once she escapes her dungeon the fight for the Crown is on like Donkey Kong.
Starring Chris Hemsworth as the peasant Thor with darker hair i.e The Huntsman. Swapping Nordic Hammer for hunting axe, English majestic accent replaced by the brutish Scottish take. Hemsworth is contracted by the Queen to venture into the dark forest, find and deliver Snow White. Which of course lasts around 4 minutes long. The Hunstman finds Snow White. Decides not to deliver her to the Queen and then rather quickly falls in love with her.

One strong element to the flick is the fast paced nature. The movie never slows even a little, but it could ultimately be its downfall. Elements such as the Huntsman finding Snow White, Snow White being trained in combat, the comedic seven dwarfs and the Huntsman's love for Snow all deserved development that seemingly occurred off screen.
I was also a bit confused on who exactly this film was targeted towards. At times it felt largely designed for a more feminine mind. The romantic moments, tragic tales of loss and of course the massive amounts of CGI animals on board to lend a touch of Disneyesque sentimentality.
Then there was the creepy acid trip dark forest, the haunting psychotic Queen and the action sequences. Making Snow White a possible attempt at keeping the guys who have been dragged along by their other halves entertained for at least the odd minute or two. I don't think it worked girls.
The accents however weren't terrible. The acting was not terrible. The general plot was not terrible. Considering Snow White & The Huntsmen comes from first time director Rupert Sanders...its not terrible. It could have been a lot more but still a fine effort in the overall grand scheme of all things Snow White.

Usher, Rita Ora & Cheryl Cole Rock Capital

Some of my favourite performers took to the stage this weekend for Capital FM's Summertime Ball as 80,000 fans flocked to Wembley  Arena to witness the stars of today shine centre stage.
Usher returned to his former glory performing new track Scream. Working the crowd, his trademark moves, some surprising vocals and his pecs. Yeah he took he shirt off before belting out bedroom ballad Climax. We literally love you Usher.
Rita Ora also shone vocally. A relative newcomer on the scene and a first time summer baller performing UK number one R.I.P off her upcoming debut album O.R.A. She likes to abbreviate. Rita also performed her DJ Fresh assisted other UK number 1 Hot Right Now. However...Rita's jeans and boots combo needed some work.

Speaking of style faux pas came in the form of Cheryl Cole donning an 80s disco glam all in one. Mork and Mindy called Chezza...just give them it back already. I beg of you. Terrible highlighters aside Cheryl lipsynched and danced her way through a rather decent performance commanding the stage with her on point moves and her crazy eyes. Seriously...her eyes are epic.
Other performers included Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Connor Maynard and Cover Drive. Take a look at Usher, Rita and Cheryl performing via the clips below.

Giaroye: Printed Panda Power

Sitting roaming my twitter feed against the backdrop of the luxurious Bulgarian hotel deco I am currently inhabiting. I discovered a tweet from British independent men's fashion label Giaroye regarding their new Panda logo printed t-shirt range.

Three months ago back in March in the hive of Brick Lane, London, I met Gia aka one half of Giaroye and walked away with a stunning royal blue sport jacket instantly falling in love with the modern and classic elements the brand have established.

Pair this with a love of all things Aztec printed and it should come as no surprise then to find I love Giaroye's new t-shirt collection. Clean. Crisp. Classy. Quality detailing. Tribal pocket tees, diamond Aztec panda tees available in navy, white and grey priced from £15-£25.
A unique and diverse range showcasing their trademark design emblem and the perfect addition to any modern gent's summer wardrobe with the added focus on tailored street wear seeping at its very core.

My close friend and phenomenal fashion designer Sean Henry Van der Simon tagged oneself via a link on my Facebook page last night. With the simple message 'You will love this vest'.
He was right. I did love the vest. Turqoise blue, harsh blacks, clean whites and burnt oranges in the form of self-developed prints from Belgium based Tom Van Der Borght. The 2011 winner of the Belgian Final of the Triumph Inspiration Award. Of which his work was worn by model Lily Cole.
Alexander Popelier Photography

His new collection entitled Church of Chica (or COC for short) inspired by manipulation and creating the image and illusion of a cult. Documenting the various aspects of cult life, love, positivity, peace to brainwashing, fear, terrorism and destruction.
All through the use of textures, volumes and colours. Colours presented in wave after wave of neon florescents and vibrant UV influences. Tom also uses printed microscopic images of the hereditary muscular disease he suffers from. Tom states "In a way u could say the whole collection is an encouragment to more self-worship and connection with our own selves."
