On picking up my Tinie Tempah copy I had imagined a sensational shoot to accompany it. I was however utterly let down with the publication containing only two pages of the man himself. One full photo sitting comfortably on a red velvet sofa sandwiched in-between two majestic gold candelabras and a bouquet of white flowers.
Tinie was of course wearing an all-white Burberry tuxedo. A white Dolce & Gabbana shirt. A velvet maroon bow-tie by Lanvin complete with a matching pocket square from Peckham Rye, stunning vintage loafers and a magnificent gold watch. The latter objects being Tinie's own.
Then came the full page interview. Which included another, slightly smaller picture of Tinie Tempah's cover image. In a contrasting black tuxedo, waistcoat and shirt courtesy of Dior. A black bow-tie and pocket square courtesy of Yves Saint Laurent and a black watch by Graff Diamonds. All topped off by TT's trademark Geek Chich fake black rimmed glasses.
The lack of TT was made up by the inclusion of Michael Fassbender suited up with a Great Gatsby influence twist sporting vintage, vintage and more vintage with the odd Tom Ford thrown in for good measure. Gary Barlow on the page following and the God of Thunder himself Chris Hemsworth.
That being said, for a magazine devoted to men's fashion. Lana Del Rey who was crowned GQ's Woman of the Year is allotted 14 pages in a full fashion shoot! Not cool GQ. Bros before Hos.
P.s Tinie Tempah is currently in Belfast at some of my local bars and last month I missed out on seeing him perform on a beach in Marbella. I just can't catch a break.
