High-street giant Primark unveiled its first limited edition collection last week and wait for it...it's for men! I know we were shocked too. At my local Primark flagship store it is rare I find anything noteworthy due to the complete lack of anything stylish or creative for my Belfast branch. However on occasion I have been able to locate an oddment here and there. An oversized New York sweater. A navy canvas shopping bag featuring brown faux leather detailing. Faded skinny jeans and my favourite section also known as the accessories department. Located on the second floor packed full of Egyptian gold influenced attire. I also do not completely hate the new rust knitted jumper complete with breast pocket detailing from their new autumn/winter collection.
So naturally I was excited to hear Primark have upped their game in the area of all things menswear realted. Of course Belfast will not be receiving the capsule collection. Which is inspired by the traditional American and his traditional workwear using elements such as substance, sustainability, fits and fabrics as the main focus for the exclusive range. 
Seven lucky stores nationwide launched the collection last week with exclusive Selfridges concessions in Manchester and Birmingham also stocking the trendy rural influenced garments. Most of the population might actually be pleased about this little fact following the negative feedback via the social media platforms which have been more than vocal on their dislike for the campaign images. Featuring a male model verging on having no place to go but his local Primark in order to seek shelter and refuge for the night and possibly the foreseeable future.
