UK Press Association True Blood star James Frain has revealed he regrets not getting any "vampire tips" from Robert Pattinson on the set of Water For Elephants.Robert is known for his role as vampire Edward Cullen in hit franchise Twilight, and fellow Brit James takes on the role of a vampire in the forthcoming third series of True Blood.
But James said he and Robert did not talk about vampires while on the set of their film, which also stars Reese Witherspoon.He said: "My scenes were with Robert Pattinson but I'm sorry to say we didn't swap vampire stories. I wish we had."People can't believe there's going to be a scene in the movie with a Twilight vampire talking to a True Blood vampire and that we didn't spend our time chatting about that, but I'm afraid not. I wish I'd got vampire tips from him, I wish I'd gone 'Oi, Bob mate, any tips?'."But James was full of praise for Robert, saying: "He's sweet, quite shy, just a really good guy."Water For Elephants, which is based on a book about a travelling circus, is due out in April 2011.

When Cam Gigandet landed in Southern California a decade ago looking for work, he certainly didn’t anticipate the day when he would be showing fangs in Twilight or ending up in bed with Christina Aguilera.In fact, he didn’t even expect to become an actor. He was just a small-town kid from the state of Washington seeking to broaden his horizons.
Those horizons didn’t include playing bad guy Kevin Volchok in a TV series like the O.C., or a villainous vampire in the movie Twilight, or a vampire exterminator in the upcoming Priest, or a role in Golden Globe nominee Burlesque that involved getting naked with Aguilera.
In Burlesque, Aguilera and Gigandet both play characters who leave home because there’s nobody around them whose lives they want to emulate. She ends up as a performer in a Los Angeles Club; he’s the bartender who falls for her.
As a teenager in Auburn, Washington, Cam also felt this need to get out of town, even though he loves the place and is close to his parents.
“I respect so many people where I’m from,” he says. “So it was more that I had to try something new, something that I didn’t know, because this world is huge and I didn’t really know anything, living in such a small little city up in Washington.”
But there was no grand plan involved.
“I think the main reason I chose L.A. was because it was in the same time zone that my parents were living in. It was just on a whim, right out of high school – let’s just go to L.A. So just doing that was quite an experience.”
But he had no ambition to perform until a few months later, when a friend suggested he try acting classes.
“And that night, I knew that this is where I was going to be.”

The coming year could be one of transition for Robert Pattinson.From vampire to vetenarian, perhaps? He’ll certainly try to make that leap with next year’s adaptation of “Water for Elephants.” It’s just another step in what the actor hopes will be a lengthy Hollywood career.
Pattinson was hoping more audience members would remember him in “Remember Me,” a romantic drama he released in 2010. But it was his role as undead Edward Cullen in the second “Twilight” installment – “Eclipse” – that continued to cement his status as one of the hottest celebrities working in Hollywood today.And while Pattinson will look to continue expanding his body of work beyond Stephenie Meyer’s beloved vampire-and-werewolves series, fans won’t let him stray too far just yet. Pattinson’s on the hook for two “Breaking Dawn” films, directed by Bill Condon. The first is due in theaters on Nov. 18, 2011.
This will be a big year for Pattinson. For the first time since breaking on the scene in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” he’ll be appearing in more non-“Twilight” films than “Twilight” films. Off the screen, he’ll continue to dodge the paparazzi and fend off inquiries about his reported love life with “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart.
Because of all the heat generated by Pattinson both on screen and off, we are happy to name him our “Hollywood Hot Male Star of the Year.
